This is not specific to any disease, but indicates that something is affecting her gastrointestinal tract. In a young dog, this is often due to an infection. In order to determine how serious this is, I would have to examine her. However, this does appear bad enough that Ellie should go to a veterinarian for an evaluation. They can help narrow-down the cause of this and provide treatment to at-least make her feel better. In order to determine the seriousness of this and how urgently she needs a vet, I recommend you read the article at the link below. https://www.petcoach.co/article/diarrhea-vomiting-in-dogs-when-to-call-your-veterinarian/ If you have further questions or need further clarification, then you may consider having an online consult with one of our vets on Petcoach. This way, you can send unlimited pictures and have a text conversation with a vet. I hope that helps and Ellie gets better soon.

Vomiting and diarrhea could be caused by several things including intestinal parasites, infection, pancreatitis, internal medical issues, or ingestion of something problematic (like a toxic or toy). Because Rin is younger I'd be concerned for causes related to infection (like parvovirus) if he is not fully vaccinated. Puppies also commonly ingest things they shouldn't or have intestinal parasites so these are other more likely causes of vomiting and diarrhea. The best option is to have Rin examined by a veterinarian to ensure nothing serious is going on. He may need a dewormer, medications, or fluids to correct the issue. It's best to seek veterinary care sooner rather than later so Rin doesn't get dehydrated. Until you can get to the vet you can try offering a bland diet of boiled chicken and sweet potato or rice, but I'd still recommend getting to the veterinarian as soon as you can. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach and I hope Rin is feeling better soon!

I’m sorry jasy isn’t feeli well. Given her age, I would bring her in to be seen by a veterinarian if she has vomited more than one time. Puppies can get dehydrated quickly. Vomiting in puppies can be caused by viruses such as parvo (especially if she has not completed her vaccines and especially if the vomiting is accompanied by diarrhea. ) Other causes of vomiting include eating things such as rich human food or treats or ingesting foreign material or toys. I would offer her small amounts of a bland diet such as boiled chicken breast and white rice until you are able to have her examined by her vet. I hope she is feeling better very soon.

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. A small breed 7 month old puppy that is vomitting and diarrhea needs veterinary attention fairly quickly. If he has only vomited once or twice he may be fine until tomorrow. If he can't keep anything down and has had vomiting and diarrhea all day he should recieve medical attention tonight. Small puppies can become dehydrated or hypoglycemic very quickly if vomitting. If there is any blood in his vomitus or stool he needs to get to a vet asap. Parvovirus, parasites, toxin or foreign body are all concerns in a young dog that has vomitting and diarrhea. Good luck, I hope he's better soon.
