Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 2 years and 10 months old | 40 lbs
I have a schnauzer beagle mix and he seems to throw up yellow foam a lot. Not daily, but sometimes for 1 to 2 days at a time. Just once or twice. He also had diarrhea this time and is lethargic. We do feed him minimal table scraps and meat to take medicine. He's about 40 lbs. I take him to the emergency vet if he throws up more than 6 times or wont eat and drink. Do you think it could be pancreatitis? And do I need to take him to the vet for puking just a few times? Or can I change his diet?

I would suspect it's more likely that Kaiser has a GI illness than pancreatitis, but I can't say for certain without seeing him in person. I can give you a home remedy to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away.
