My spayed dog leaks clear liquid when she lies down. Is it serious?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 2 years and 6 months old | 85 lbs

My 3 year old fixed female dog is leaking a clear order less liquid everytime she lays down.

It sounds like Aurora has urinary incontinence. I suggest you have her to your vet for an exam so you can get a proper diagnosis. There are few different options as to what may be causing it. The treatment will depend on the underlying cause.

    Urine leaking in spayed female dogs is really common, and may be related to a lack of estrogen hormone that helps control bladder tone. Schedule an appointment with your vet for an exam and urine test (urinalysis) to make sure she doesn't have a urinary tract infection or other issue. Then your vet can put Heidi on medication to help with the leaking issue in the future.
