Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 26 days old | 4 lbs
I have three kittens of 17 weeks of age, who along with their mother have all developed diarrhoea. They are all behaving normally, playing and chasing each other for periods of time, then sleeping for a while, repeating over and over. They all have good appetites and eat well, though for a few days now we have stopped the wet (in jelly) food, keeping to kibble. They are all drinking quite a lot of water, so well hydrated, is there anything I can give to solidfy their frequent sloppy stools?

Hello. The very first thing is to make sure all the kitties are free of intestinal parasites. The best thing is to take a mixed stool sample into your veterinarian. You could just worm everyone with an over the counter general wormer such as pyrantel pamoate, but there are quite a few parasites that might be missed. Once everyone is clear of any intestinal parasites, & the diarrhea persists, then you could try a product called Proviable KP. This is excellent for most common forms of diarrhea in pets & is easily purchased at most larger pet retailers, like Petco. But do make sure everyone is parasite free first. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
