Pet's info: Dog | Australian Shepherd | Female | spayed | 1 year and 9 months old | 40 lbs
My 2 year old female Aussie has been itching pretty bad the past week. It’s mostly her belly and the base of her tail. She has some scabs on her belly, and a big red circle that I’ve attached as a picture. She also has some black crusties surrounding the base of her nipples that I can easily peel off. Some of her nipples have a red dot on the end, while others are completely red and swollen. She has never had puppies to my knowledge. Help!!

This looks like a very mild superficial skin infection. I suggest you use this medicated shampoo on her whole body. Follow the instructions closely and be sure to rinse it off well as to not leave any soap residue on her skin. You can bathe her every 3-4 days. ( https://www.allivet.com/p-6692-douxo-chlorhexidine-shampoo-for-dogs-and-cats.aspx ) You can use this medicated spray on the red spots wherever they are on her body once or twice a day until they are gone. ( https://www.allivet.com/p-6677-douxo-chlorhexidine-micro-emulsion-spray-for-dogs-and-cats-68-oz.aspx?SearchTerm=duoxo+Auto ) If after a week or so there is no improvement or she keeps getting more red spots you need to have her seen by a vet.
