My cat is limping with a wound. Can I use baby aspirin or Neosporin?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 7 years and 9 months old | 12 lbs

He went missing for 2 days about a week ago and when he came home he was limping and we gave him baby aspirin bc he had an inflammation & some sorta knot & slit of pain well 3 days later we notice this on him and I believe that someone shot him with a pellet gun or bebe gun and the bullets exited the skin...or do u think he got hurt in a cat fight or something cause I dont see a fight hurting him this bad!! And is it safe to put neosporin on the wound he's an outside cat

Never give a cat aspirin, it's highly toxic to cats! that wound looks back, you need to have Frankie seen by a vet now. This is not something you can treat at home, and leaving him like this would be cruel. Please take him into vet immediately.
