Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Husky | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 19 days old | 11 lbs

Hello. I got a new puppy on the 13th of september(11weeks old at the time) on the 15th i gave her both a flea tablet credelio and over the counter round worm dewormer. on the 16th i gave her milbeguard for heartworm. She then has poop live very small tape worms these last 2days. Should i also give her broad spectrum dewormer to help with the tapeworms now or wait a few days/week(s) since it may be alot of medicine at once. Shes a husky currently 11lbs, eating healthy, full of energy.

None of the products you have administered will treat for tapeworms. Tapeworms need to be treated with a special dewormer called Praziquantel. You can give it now. This is the product I would recommend. Give a dose now and then repeat it in 3 weeks. ( https://www.1800petmeds.com/Bayer+Tapeworm+Dewormer+Tablets+for+Dogs-prod11773.html )
