My dog is coughing up strange white frothy foam. What's wrong?

My dog keeps coffing up white frothy fome as if something is fermenting . Have you come across this before?

Yes, significant irritation the the trachea and will cause them to cough up phlegm. Dogs will cough for many reasons including infections and allergies. If this is happening beyond 48 hours, I recommend to have Ozzy examined by the veterinarian for treatment which will help him to get better much faster.     Wiley could have a mild case of kennel cough, collapsing trachea, heart disease, lung disease, or allergies. If the coughing continues or becomes worse then he really should be examined by a vet to determine the exact cause. Your vet can take an x-ray, if needed, to help diagnose and then prescribe medications to help. He may need an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, bronchodilator, or other medications to help treat the cough.

    This could be a case of tracking information, irritation of the esophagus, mild nausea, and sometimes even lung disease. If Wiley has any decreased activity, the coughing increases in frequency or the foam start of a bloody or yellow or black he needs to be seen by his veterinarian.
