My dog gets depressed when I leave for days. Is it separation anxiety?

I stay at hostel..so i always have to leave leo at home with my family and go to hostel..and leo becomes depressed everytime i leave him...i go on monday mornings and return on friday evenings..what is the solution for that? Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | unneutered | 7 months and 9 days old
