Kitten has worms. Should I deworm before vet shots tomorrow?

Hi my name is Kimberly and I have a 10 week old kitten who is going to the vet at pet or tomorrow for his first set of shots but he just used the litter pan and I saw two big worms. Is it ok to give him heart worm medicine now and get him shots tomorrow? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | 3 months and 6 days old | 3 lbs

It should be fine, but depending on the type of medication you have and type of worm, he may still need a dewormer. You can request one tomorrow. It will likely need to be repeated in 2-3 weeks anyway. Better yet, submit a stool sample to diagnose intestinal parasites.
