Shih Tzu diarrhea after new puppy: Is it stress or something else?

Hi I'd like to ask about my 2yr old shitzu having diarrhea ever since we brought home a new puppy.

Poor girl. She may be having stress colitis. I would recommend trying a probiotic --> https://www.chewy.com/purina-pro-plan-veterinary-diets/dp/50029 if she is otherwise acting normal, eating and drinking well and your puppy does not also have loose stool. If your puppy has loose stool also then its best to get them checked for intestinal parasites and treated through your vet. If the diarrhea does not improve within 2-3 days of starting the probiotic, then its best to schedule an appt with your vet for stronger medications to resolve her colitis. I hope that Molly's stools normalize soon! Best wishes and take care.
