My puppy is picky and skinny. How do I get him to eat dry food?

My puppy is a picky eater. I tried mixing try dry food with wet food, he would lick the wet food clean and leaving a lot of dry food uneaten. In addition to that he would rather eat his poop then his dry food. I feed him wholehearted and wellness kibble and mix it with wholehearted wet food. And he’s super skinny. What can I do to get him to eat his dry? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Male | 5 months and 6 days old | 2.4 lbs
