My dog's paw pad split open and isn't healing. Should I go to the vet?

Hi, my dog has split open his paw pad and it hasn’t healed at all since it happened 2 days ago. He is very quiet and not himself. Is there any advice you can give as to what to do? Should we go to the vets? Thank you. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 4 years and 4 months old

Hello. These type wounds are very difficult to heal without veterinary intervention. Usually, we will suture these closed, other wise then can take weeks, in not months to heal.
