My puppy recovered from Parvo, now has bloody diarrhea. Relapse?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 14 days old | 10 lbs

My puppy came down parvo 3 weeks ago, but made it through the worst in our local vet clinic and came home two weeks ago. She was looking okay, solid stool, eating and drinking, playful again, with an occasional bout of diarrhea (just soft stool, not watery, every 2 days or so). Now in her second week home, she is suddenly pooping blood and mucus along with soft stool (not watery, just very soft). is it possible she has had a relapse?

Poor Luna. Typically when a dog has Parvo and recovers from it, they don't get it again. It's very rare for a dog to have it twice, but I am concerned you are seeing blood in her poop again. There may be another issue going on, and I think she should see a vet now. Best of luck.
