My puppy has kennel cough what can I give her to calm down. Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund miniature | Female | spayed | 8 months and 17 days old | 10 lbs

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Storm. Unfortunately I cannot recommend anything OTC, it's illegal for me to do so without seeing her in person. When she goes out to potty, do not use a leash attached to her collar, use a leash and harness instead to avoid putting pressure on her throat. If she is congested, bring her into the bathroom when you take a shower or put her in a room with a humidifier. The steam from either may help her congestion. Isolate her from any other dogs in the home, and don't take her out in public (except to the vet) because it's so contagious. Have her seen by a vet in the morning. Best of luck.
