My dog vomited, restless. Could he be poisoned after 2 days?

Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | neutered | 2 years and 7 months old | 15 lbs

My dog went t vet today for white foam vomiting, couple of times, and restless cant lie down. Hgiven cerenia at vet office dr did a physical exam and said everything is good. Return home and he didnt vomit he ate little bit, but still restless and cant sleep or lie down. I am going take him to vet again tomorrow what should happen if he is not feeling well. I am scared he could be poisoned. It it will be 2 days tomorrow if he is poisoned can he still get treatment if 2 days passed. What treatmen

The treatment would depend on that may have poisoned Sky, but poisoning is not that common. It's more likely he has a GI illness. It's good that he's eaten a bit and isn't vomiting. I think it's a good plan to have him seen by the vet again tomorrow if he still isn't 100%. I hope he feels better soon.

    Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Vomiting can be caused by many conditions primarily gastrointestinal in nature such gastroenteritis and gastrointestinal foreign body ingestion and obstruction or other conditions such as pancreatitis or kidney disease. You could try a bland diet composed mainly of boiled chicken and white rice which is easily digestible and can help with an upset stomach. If this continues despite this diet and medications, I recommend that you have him reevaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Likely diagnostics to be performed include abdominal imaging and general bloodwork. Good luck and have a great day!
