My dog has gelatin diarrhea, constipation, and blood. Should I worry?

Pet's info: Dog | Maltese | Male | unneutered | 4 years and 8 months old | 12 lbs

hello my dog has been having really weird diarrhea and has been kind of constipated these past few days. and it kinda looks like a gelatin type of diarrhea if that makes any sense. he's also been pooping in random places in the house which he's never done before; he usually let's us know if he needs to go or not. Also, today i noticed that there was a bit of blood in the diarrhea. So I'm going to make him a bit of white rice to see if that'll give him more fiber. Should I be worried about it?

Poor Levi! I can give you a home remedy to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the diarrhea continues on the bland diet, he starts vomiting food, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. Best of luck.
