Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | unspayed | 2 years and 3 months old | 60 lbs
I have a 2 year old female Labrador Retriever. She has been in perfect health since we got her at 8 weeks. Twice now in the past two months, I have come home to find varying amounts of clear vomit that resembles phlegm. (At least I think its vomit..she never does this when I am home). Everything about her is fine...good appetite, lots of Lab energy, stool and urine are ok. She isn't lethargic, nothing appears to be painful and she still does the silly puppy FRAPS around the family room.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Vomiting can occur from many conditions such as foreign body ingestion and obstruction, pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. The fact that it has been going on for some time makes think about inflammatory bowel disease for example. I recommend that you have Lacey evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. This will likely require bloodwork and abdominal imaging in terms of diagnostics. Treatment would be based on findings. At the very least your veterinarian could start her on medications to make her feel better. In the meantime, keep water available at all times to try to prevent dehydration. Good luck and have a good day!
