My senior dog drinks and pees a lot at night. What should I do?

Our fur babie Hayden he is 9or10yrs old and he eats ok and drinks ok and poops ok during the day but at night time he will get up during the night and get a drink at least twice at night and then he pees should I take he's water dish away and see what happens thanks. Pet's info: Dog | Shih Tzu | Male | 20 lbs
