Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Male | neutered | 1 year and 11 months old | 55 lbs
I recently adopted Gabbana & she got fixed a little over 2 weeks ago. I do have a unneautered male dog but it seems since she’s been fixed she’s been trying to hump him. Every time I turn around she’s mounting and trying to hump my male dog any chance she gets. I’m just confused because I thought fixing the dog would make them not have that sexual urge.. not do the opposite. It’s just a little frustrating because I thought I’d have to worry about my unneautered male dog and not a fixed female...

Most of the time this mounting behavior is not related to sexual urges. It is more commonly related to dominance or excitement in general. It could be that she is settling into the house and now trying to figure out where she fits in the pack. Give her lots of daily exercise and set boundaries and rules if this is not acceptable behavior. This will generally work itself out. I hope this helps.
