My cat has a bite wound after a fight. What should I do now?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | 9 months and 1 day old | 3 lbs

I think Yesterday early morning our cat was involved in an animal fight, it has bruise mark on its forehead. How to check whether which animal has bitten it? Cat or dog? It was bitten by dog nine months ago, we took it to vet and got it vaccinated. Now again I'm afraid it's dog bite. I'm not sure. Please help me, I'll be attaching photo of it.

That appears to be a bite from a cat. It looks too small to be a wound from a dog bite. In reality it does not matter what it was from. The wound could become infected from either bite. At this time the wound looks quiet and not infected so I suggest you just monitor the wound for now. I strongly recommend you have him neutered as that will usually curb fighting behavior.
