Is it normal for my dog to start peeing in the house after neutering?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Coonhound - blue tick | Male | neutered | 7 months and 5 days old | 48 lbs

My dog has been doing so well not peeing in the house . Now after that he has been neutered it seems to be an issue ... Is there a correlation between him being fixed and peeing in the house ?

This may be a temporary issue after neutering surgery, but it may be a sign correlated with urinary tract infections, which needs to be ruled out first. A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Urine analysis and antibiotics may be needed.
