Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 2 years and 4 months old | 7 lbs
Cat was spayed a month ago and is constantly acting like she’s in heat. She is showing aggression to our other cat(10 year old neutered male). There were not previous issues between them. Took her back to the vet and they treated an infection on part of her incision and told us that they won’t be able to be around each other anymore. It’s just doesn’t seem right. We’ve tried a diffuser and keep them separated but we can’t live like this forever. What can we do?

No you can't live like this forever. What I'm going to mention happens rarely, but there is a chance this is why Rue Rue keeps acting like she is in heat. Sometimes, again rarely, ovarian tissue can be left behind accidentally, causing the cat to act like they are going into heat. I'd have her seen by another vet for a second opinion. Best of luck.
