Is my puppy's vomiting contagious to humans? Can I get sick?

Hi there, our puppy is 4 months old and was sick this morning a few hours after eating. She didn't eat much for breakfast, and we had to stop her eating soil this morning although I don't think she actually ingested any. She's fine in herself, a bit sleepy, but I am more worried if I can potentially catch this sickness from her? Is it possible for humans to catch dogs vomiting bugs?

Possible, yes; probable no. I would be more worried about her being sick than you catching something from her. She could be breaking with parvo virus and that is not contagious to humans. I suggest that if her symptoms continue (vomiting and not eating) you get her to a vet for an exam as soon as you can.
