My cats eye is watering and irritated...now my eye is watering, scratchy, burning and extremely sensitive to light. Is it possible the cat and I have pink eye? Also I have no money to go to a vet, is there anything over the counter thats cheap I could buy. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | spayed | 6 years and 5 months old | 6 lbs

Cats can get pink eye that is typically viral in nature although bacterial infections is possible. Other causes of her symptoms include corneal injury (ulcers or scratches). Unfortunately. there is nothing OTC that you can use to treat her. Ideally, she should be physically examined by your veterinarian and have the eye stained to rule out injury.
