My hamster has a bleeding lump near his bum. What could it be?

My hamster has a lump by his bum and we thought it was one of his testicles but it doesn’t seem to be going away. It now looks like the lump has been internally bleeding. What can I do to help him as I don’t have the money for the vets

Hi, and thanks for your question. Although a picture of it would help to give you more specific answers, this lump/growth should be ideally examined by your veterinarian to have a definitive diagnosis. Your vet will examine it and possibly perform with an FNA (fine needle aspiration) or a biopsy. Differentials would include skin cyst, infections or benign or malignant type of tumors.
