My dog has green pus draining from her eye. What should I do?

My 11 month old lab has green pus draining from her eye. Her eye is irritated but there doesn’t seem to be anything in her eye.

It is likely Luna has an eye infection or an abrasion on the cornea. If the drainage has been present for more than 48 hours, if she is squinting or if she is rubbing at the eye, she needs to be examined by the veterinarian. Antibiotic eye drops are generally indicated to heal an infection. Protect the eye from any rubbing with an elizabethan collar worn at all times. Also make sure to gently wipe out the drainage with a warm, wet cotton ball. I hope this helps.
