If my dog had a scratch on the front of her eye, would I be able to see it closely with a flashlight? I’m afraid my other dog might have scratched it with mulch as he was carrying big pieces around. And is it possible for no symptoms to appear even if she does have a scratch on it?? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 4 months old | 20 lbs

Hi. Corneal ulcers, scratches, are seen with a special eye stain and black light done at your veterinarian. They can present like nothing is wrong but most present with red eye and squinting cause of pain.
