My cat is throwing up, hiding, and growling. What should I do?

My cats been throwing up and when I went to pick him up he growled he’s been hiding and laying down

He may have some stomach upset or pain which could explain his symptoms and behavior. Most pets do not want to be picked up if sick. If he is behaving normally otherwise, you can try a short fast followed by a bland diet fed in small, frequent amounts. Begin with 1 tablespoon of food every hour and gradually increase the amount if there is no vomiting. Feed bland until symptoms resolve then transition slowly to the regular diet. If his symptoms persist or worsen, have him seen by your veterinarian.
