My dog's paws are red from licking. How do I stop him when I'm away?

My dog keeps licking his paws and they are turning red. I stop him from doing it when im home but when im gone he dont stop. What do i do? Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Male | neutered | 3 years and 11 months old | 14 lbs

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Buddy. I recommend that he sees his veterinarian. He needs to have the underlying problem identified and treated to get him to stop licking. He could be experiencing seasonal allergies, an infection, insect bite, etc. His veterinarian will likely prescribe medication to make him feel better.
