Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Maltipoo | Male | unneutered | 5 months and 29 days old | 5 lbs

My Milo just went for his last shots this past Mon. Well he got the bordetella nasal spray. About a day or two after he started this hacking cough. He Is still doing it. It's not all the time, but I'm wondering if this vaccine is the culprit. He was fine before. Thank you!

Sometimes, the Bordatella vaccine can cause mild symptoms of kennel cough. These will usually resolve on their own in a few days. Monitor for lethargy, fever, discharge or worsening cough. These are symptoms that should be addressed by your veterinarian.
