My bearded dragon won't eat greens. How do I make them appetizing?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

How can I get my bearded dragon to eat and like his greens? He used to eat his collard greens and other greens just fine. He seemed to enjoy them too but all of a sudden he won’t eat them? What can I do to make them more appetizing? Thanks!

Thanks for reaching out about Clyde. Try different greens and chop small. Offer fewer insects (if provided). Red, yellow and orange can often stimulate appetite so can offer grated carrots, yellow squash, etc. If continues to eat poorly, a veterinary visit is recommended to assess Clyde's condition for possible diseases such as intestinal parasites/infection, metabolic disorders and to review diet and husbandry. Good luck.
