Why is my rabbit shaking head with ear issues and white mites?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Rabbit | Male | neutered | 1 year and 7 months old | 0 lbs

Hi my 16 month old buck white mini lop rabbit has had two lateral ear sections (think it is called that) . Basically his ears have been reconstructed due to him having large waxy masses in both ears..He has been shaking his head ever since and as a precaution I put two xeno 450 on the back of his neck on 7 June. When I groomed him I could see tiny white mites on the fur that came out. He also has what appear to be are white lumps in his ears.

Thanks for reaching out about Snowbow and including the photos, but the pictures are out of focus. A veterinary visit is needed to assess and provide a diagnostic/treatment plan. The ears probably needed to be clean out, with anesthesia or sedation. Good luck.
