My cat keeps trying to vomit after going outside. Should I go to vet?

My cat went outside yesterday and then came back in. But as soon as he came in it looked like he wants to throw up and he swallows it back in. Since then every 5 minutes he wanted to vomit, he opens up his mouth does weird sounds but nothing comes out. So my question is, do I really have to go to the vet or do you know of any home remedies to help my cat? Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 1 year and 10 months old

Unfortunately, if there is something stuck in his throat or if he has an upset stomach, there's not much you can do at home. Trying to vomit indicates illness and this can be due to a variety of reasons. I recommend to play it safe and have Ape examined.
