Hello and thank you for reaching out to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. He may occasionally be urinating blood that is leftover from his surgery. He could have some inflammation of his bladder or urethra that is causing some blood to be in the urine. As long as he is acting normally otherwise, he should be OK and these signs should resolve over the next 2-3 days. If the bleeding continues beyond this time or Ares ever starts straining to urinate, he should be seen by your veterinarian. I hope this is helpful!
