I am sorry to hear about Sally. At home care for vomiting is only recommended in cases where the vomiting has only happened a few times and the dog is otherwise normal. If she is lethargic, the vomiting has been going on for several days, she seems painful in her abdomen, then a vet exam is truly needed. There is not real over the counter medication to give for vomiting that is available, so at home care consists of a period of fasting ( no food, no treats, not allowing to eat things outside like grass) and only very small amounts of water every few hours to try to give the stomach time to settle, then slowly reintroducing small amounts of a bland diet such as cooked white rice and boiled chicken breast.
