Pet's info: Cat | Ragdoll | Female | unspayed | 12 lbs
Hi, my unspayed female cat of 7 months has lumps on her lower stomach slightly smaller than a golf ball. She’s been eating a lot lately and her stomach seems to be getting bigger. Our male cat of 7 years is neutered but we caught him trying to have babies with her several times. She looks healthy and still plays and runs, also doesn’t seem to be in pain when we rub her stomach. We considered she might be pregnant but we’re worried that’s not the case as the male cat is neutered.

Pregnancy would indeed explain her symptoms and false pregnancy can also occur but is rare in cats and does not usually result in abdominal enlargement. I strongly recommend scheduling an ultrasound in order to determine exactly what is causing the swelling
