What are the signs my senior dog with cataracts is going blind?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 15 years and 8 months old | 30 lbs

I have a chihuahua she is 17yrs old. good health however I know she did developed cataracts..if possible. How would i know if shes going blind

If it happened gradually, which is often the case with cataracts, then you may not notice much of a change as long as her routine and the set up of your home stays the same. If you move the furniture around, etc she will likely bump into it, or if you leave something out of place on the floor she may bump into it. You may notice her become very hesitant on stairs.     Signs at home that vision may be decreasing can include confused crying or meowing, bumping into things, misjudging distances, etc. However, the best course of action if you suspect Leche may be losing her sight is to have her examined by a vet.
