My dog has mucus in his stool, but acts normal. Is it normal?

Pet's info: Dog | Pembroke Welsh Corgi | Male | neutered | 2 years and 11 months old | 40 lbs

Hello, I have noticed that my corgi has been getting some mucous in his stool. It is not frequent, but enough that I thought I would ask if it is normal. He is eating and drinking fine and acting like his energetic self.

I would consider a bland diet for a few days either prescription or boiled chicken and white rice. I would then slowly transition him back to his Normal diet. If this continues doing gradual change in diet. I would also consider having your veterinarian check a stool sample for parasites. Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach
