My dog's eye is red and gunky with yellow discharge. Is it infected?

I’m worried that Rump’s left eye is becoming infected. It has been producing more gunk than usual and the colour of the funk yesterday had a yellow hue to it, but today it seems to be closer to the normal colour but still slightly off. The red/ pink area of his left eye also seems deeper red than the pink of his right eye. The photos are first his right eye and then his left eye. The photos don’t show a very large difference because I have a bad camera. Pet's info: Dog | Labradoodle | Male | neutered | 1 year and 7 months old | 60 lbs

Hello. Rumple may have a mild case of conjunctivitis, a corneal scratch or even a foreign body like a weed seed or grass awn under the third eyelid. All of these can be quite irritating & produce the symptoms you describe. so it is probably best to have your vet take a look at the eye.
