Why is my senior dog lethargic, vomiting, not eating, and bloated?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 75 lbs

My 75lb overweight 9 year old lab mix is lethargic, hasn't eaten in about a week, is suddenly incontinent, appears to have an enlarged stomach, and just started vomiting yellow foam. This has been going on for about a week. Vomiting started in the last two days.

Most of these signs could be compatible with an inflammation infection of the gastrointestinal system and surrounding organs (like pancreas and liver). A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is immediately essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Antibiotics and possibly further investigations (like abdominal imaging as ultrasound or radiographs) may be needed.
