Why is my Great Dane puppy's back sore and bleeding from scratching?

Hi so I notice a little sore on the back on my Great dane puppy. Today she scratched it until it started bleeding. What could this be? Pet's info: Dog | Great Dane | Female | unspayed | 5 months and 20 days old | 60 lbs

Hi there. Wounds on puppies could be injuries, skin mites, ringworm, or bacterial infections. All are very common. It it doesn’t resolve soon or if it seems to be getting worse then I would highly encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian soon. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon.
