My puppy threw up a lot once but seems fine. Should I change her food?

Hello, sugar threw up last night but hasn’t thrown up since. She still eats and drinks and is acting ok. I’m concerned because it was A LOT for her size. Is there anything I can give her or should I feed her something more mild than her dog food for her upset stomach? She is up to date on shots and got her last set about 4 weeks ago.

Hello, and thanks for your question. If it was just one isolated episode of vomiting and Sugar is otherwise totally normal, then I’m not too worried and would not make any changes at this time. More frequent small meals are easier on the stomach than fewer large meals, so you could certainly do this. If the vomiting continues, then she should be seen by your vet, and you could consider putting her on a food that’s formulated for sensitive stomachs. But even healthy dogs can have the occasional vomiting episode if they get into something in the yard! So for now I’d just monitor, and not get too concerned unless there are further episodes. Hope this helps!
