Affordable food for my 4-month Doberman puppy with health issues?

Pet's info: Dog | Doberman Pinscher | Female | 3 months and 26 days old | 6.613 lbs

My doberman puppy is almost 4 months...i have been giving her puppy food (royal canin) till now..can i switch to home cooked food... because the puppy food is not affordable for me anymore. Also she has some health issues...I am giving her multivitamin, calcium and liver meds too.. well she is active now...or can I give Her drools puppy food instead of Royal canin?

Ideally she should be on a good quality,balanced, large breed puppy food until at least 18months which is specifically formulated to provide all the nutrition she requires - there are many brands and price ranges available and you should select one which is easily available in your area and within your budget. These should not be further supplemented as this can lead to dietary excesses which are as dangerous as deficiencies. Home cooked diets need to be carefully formulated with the help of a specialist nutritionist for the same reason.
