Kitten has black ear wax, scratches, shakes head. Are they ear mites?

Black wax in kitten ear. Slightly hard. Kitten scratches its ear a lot. Kitten also shakes its head. Slight foul smell. Is there a possibility it has ear mites? What can we do to get it removed. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Mediumhair | Female | unspayed | 2 lbs

It is recommended to get a diagnosis by a veterinarian first which is easily accomplished on an ear exam. I recommend you have her evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment.
