My senior dog has worsening arthritis. What new pain meds work?

My 14 year old beagle has suffered joint pain for quite a while with arthritis. When he was 3 yearsold he needed discs in his back fused, and he still has a hot spot in that area. His pain has been increasing daily. He is still eating enthusiastically, but his walks are getting shorter each day. He's been taking 1/2 novox for quite some time, but that seems to be less effective. I've added CBD oil 3x daily with little change. Any suggestions outside of the obvious? Pet's info: Dog | Beagle | Male | neutered | 14 years and 1 month old | 45 lbs

Poor guy. I would suggest discussing Adequan injections with your vet as an additional pain treatment, as well as Tramadol or Gabapentin.
