What could be causing my dog's painful red sore near her mouth?

My dog has a red sore near her mouth, it looks very painful and I feel terrible, do you know what this might be?

It is very hard to tell from the picture and I recommend a vet visit as soon as possible as it looks like it may be raised and ulcerated which may be a tumour or very severe deep dermatitis requiring treatment
