My dog is vomiting bile and has bloody diarrhea, but why is he active?

My dog has been vomiting yellowish bile in the mornings for a few days now but when he poops there is blood in it and it’s very runny and dark but he doesn’t seem lethargic, he’s running around and eats all his food

Blood in the stool and diarrhea could be caused by parasites, change in diet, toxin ingestion, infectious viral diseases, blockage in the intestines caused by ingestion of a foreign body, or a mass/growth in the gastrointestinal tract. Please make an appointment to have Alfie seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible, as diarrhea and blood in the stool can lead to dehydration and anemia, and can be very dangerous if left untreated. I recommend taking in a fecal sample from Alfie to your vet as well, as that may aid them in making a diagnosis. Good luck, and I hope he feels better soon!
