My dog ate a cooked chicken bone and is very sick. Is it an emergency?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | unneutered | 40 lbs

This is my roommates dog. He’s smaller but muscular and they have him a cooked chicken bone last night. I feel like they knew better but guess not. Now all day today he hasn’t used the bathroom and has barely been able to walk with shaky legs and body. Won’t eat or drink anything! They will not take him to the vet saying it’s just the bone that will pass but obviously something deeper is going on. Any ideas on what I could do to make him more comfortable until they end up taking him?

Oh that is not good. The problem with cooked bones is that they easily splinter in the GI tract causing perforation and obstruction. I would be very concerned that this bone won't pass, and he's showing signs of obstruction currently. An obstruction is fatal without treatment, and Dessi has to see a vet now. I would strongly urge them to take him into a vet immediately.
