My cat is limping and favoring a leg. What's causing the pain?

My friends cat has been limping lately and favors his right leg. Could he have stepped on something to cause this or is it something else?

It could be Peepus has strained or torn a ligament or muscle, or could have broken a bone. He could have also stepped on something. Limping means he is in pain, so I would take him into a vet now to get checked out. Best of luck.
